A Version of You Read Through Data

The Digital Shadow: A Version of You Read Through Data project is an awareness initiative focusing on the analysability of digital traces that are created unconsciously during social media use, and on the processes through which these data can be interpreted to form insights about individuals.

Within the scope of this project, carried out by the Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Technology Community, the concept of digital privacy is transformed from a theoretical subject into an experiential learning model.

Patterns and forms obtained from participants’ anonymised interactions are transferred onto physical products such as canvases, models and Anatolian motifs. In this way, abstract data are made tangible.

Through AI-supported representative accounts, the project demonstrates in practice how data can gain meaning. It aims to foster a questioning awareness of digital behaviour among young people and to build a sustainable awareness model within universities.
